Display Advertising Policy:

1) Advertising space is limited and is sold on a first come, first served basis. Advertising space will be allocated for an ad when it has been visually inspected and approved. The publisher will not be bound to requests for special positions (other than covers or special units where additional payment has been accepted) and has the right to determine the actual positioning of advertising in the publication.

2) Orders are due on or before the closing date. The closing date for Anchor Point ads for any given issue will be on the 20th of the preceding month. (i.e., materials must be received by June 20th to appear in the July issue.) BOTH THE CAMERA READY ADVERTISING AND THE FULL PAYMENT MUST BE RECEIVED BY THE CLOSING DATE. Advertising received by the closing date without accompanying payment will not be accepted.

3) Cancellations or changes in orders are due on or before the closing date and no changes can be considered executed unless notification is made by the Publisher. Orders for back covers, inside covers, special units or specified positions are noncancelable once orders are received. Cancellation(s) of any portion of an ad run nullifies rate and/or position protection.

4) Anchor Point maintains the right to reject or cancel any advertising at the discretion of the Publisher. No conditions printed or otherwise on orders, or copy instructions which conflict with the Publisher's policies will be binding on the Publisher. Ads purporting to trademark or use "TM" on NLP or derivations of Neuro-Linguistic Programming will not be accepted.

5) All orders are accepted subject to acts of God, fires, strikes, accidents, or other occurrences beyond the Publisher's control (whether like or unlike any of those enumerated herein) which prevent the Publisher from producing or distributing the publication. The Publisher shall not be liable for any costs or damages if for any reason advertisements are not published.

6) Please use the dimensions specified, and check the size chart carefully. A full page ad is NOT the same size as a sheet of typing paper; it is 9.25 X 7.0 inches. There will be an extra charge for ads that do not fit WITHIN the specified sizes. Anchor Point will only resize ads as part of the ad layout service (see #8).

7) Electronic submission are preferred. Adobe or Quarke or EPS files are the best for us to work with, please call for further questions and details and include a hard copy or a Acrobat file for reference. If submitted in hard copy, all advertising submitted must be camera ready and of good reproducible quality. Ads are placed in Anchor Point, prior to our delivering it to the printer. PLEASE DO NOT submit ads glued down to a piece of cardboard.

8) Ad Layout Service: For a one time fee ($25.00 minimum) Anchor Point will design and layout your display ad, using your text copy and specifications. Ads will be designed in Pagemaker 7.0 or Adobe Illustrator and placed directly onto Anchor Point pages. If you provide the disk and postage, we will send a copy of your ad to you, for placement in other publications. For examples of AP designed ads, see p. 40 and 46 of the Oct. 2000 issue.

9) Multiple runs: A 10% discount may be taken off the TOTAL REGULAR cost of an ad when the same size ad is placed for 3 consecutive months. This discount may not be applied in conjunction with other discounts or special promotional offers. Camera ready materials must be provided for EACH OCCURRENCE in A MULTIPLE RUN that the ad will appear in Anchor Point. (i.e. If the same ad is to be run for three consecutive months, please send us three copies of the Camera Ready Ad.) The total cost for a multiple ad run must be prepaid in full at the time the advertising is submitted for approval. A written contract must be executed for all Multiple Runs. There will be no refunds for Multiple Runs.

10) No ad may appear more than once in any single issue of Anchor Point. The name, address and telephone number of the advertiser must appear within their ad. The advertiser assumes responsibility and liability for all claims arising from their advertisements and will protect the publisher from the same.

11) Artwork will NOT be returned after printing.

12) Payments: All advertising must be prepaid in full. Payments must be made in U.S. dollars by VISA, Mastercard, postal MONEY ORDER, or check drawn against a U.S. bank.

13) There will be no difference in the rates for "Workshop" and "Product" ads. As long as the advertisements otherwise meet our specifications and approval, the rates for both will be identical.

14) Resource Directory: Anchor Point also offers an advertising section called the Resource Directory, to feature private practices and individual NLP related services and products. Business card sized (2 x 3.5") print ad spaces will be available for $35.00. These ads will be limited to 35 words (including address & phone numbers) and will appear only in the Resource Directory section. Small line drawings and logos will be accepted. All other Anchor Point ad policies apply, including the Ad Layout Service.

15) Color Advertising: The outside back cover is available in color or in black and white. (See rate sheet below for price differences.) Call for rates. The inside pages are limited to black and white.

16) Activities: An annual fee of $90.00 entitles an organization to list its upcoming activities in the Activities section. The fee must be received before listings can begin. Typically, six months of activities are listed. Only activities specifically sponsored by an actual institution, organization and/or bona fide company qualify. All listings must be submitted in printed form. Information will not be transcribed over the phone. Listings will include your organization's name, address and telephone number as well as the name, beginning and ending dates (duration) and location of the events. Please include your web site URL and your eĀ–mail if you would like to have a direct link from our web site to yours. All activities are listed in the magazine activities section of our web site: www. nlpanchorpoint.com.
